Алматинец поделился опытом жизни после 7-летнего ожидания пересадки сердца: история и факты
Об этом сообщило информационное агентство Almaty.news. In July 2023, a groundbreaking heart transplant was performed in Almaty, attracting the attention of many local medical professionals, particularly cardiothoracic surgeons. The life-changing procedure involved a 53-year-old housewife as the donor and 23-year-old Daniyar Baibulaev as the recipient. He shared his journey with Tengrinews.kz from a life of constant medical challenges to newfound hope.
### Childhood Struggles
Daniyar’s heart issues began unexpectedly at age six due to a misdiagnosed viral infection. This led to severe complications, leaving him bedridden and reliant on hospital care. His condition worsened, and despite consultations with international cardiologists, a heart transplant remained his only chance for survival. However, financial constraints delayed the procedure until a local surgeon, Agzam Aldeshev, performed valve replacement surgery, marking the start of Daniyar’s recovery.
### Long Wait for a Transplant
Three years later, at a routine check, it was discovered that Daniyar’s heart continued to enlarge, necessitating a transplant. He waited seven years for a suitable donor heart. Finally, in July 2023, he received the call that a donor had been found, leading to the first heart transplant in Almaty. Despite the painful and challenging recovery process, he gradually regained strength and returned to everyday life.
### Daniyar’s Advocacy and Inspirational Journey
Now pursuing a career in video production and considering studies in IT, Daniyar actively advocates for organ donation awareness in Kazakhstan. He shares experiences with fellow recipients, emphasizing the importance of support networks and proper medication access.
Daniyar highlights the need for better public understanding of organ donation, combating misconceptions, and promoting informed perspectives. Through his story, he encourages others facing similar battles to remain hopeful and resilient, believing in the possibility of healing and the strength within.
